A phase III multicenter, randomized study with Lenalidomide (Revlimid®) maintenance versus observation after intensified induction regimen containing rituximab followed by high dose chemotherapy and Autologous Stem Cell Transplantation as first line treatment in adult patients with advanced Mantle Cell Lymphoma: IIL study (MCL0208).

Outcome
FIL MCL0208 did not confirm a clinical benefit of adding LEN after ASCT in MCL. The LYMA study of post-ASCT rituximab maintenance suggestes, with a median follow -up from randomization of 7 years, a more prolonged impact of rituximab compared to LEN.

Prospective, multicenter, phase II trial designed to evaluate whether the addition of Venetoclax after rituximab, bendamustine and cytarabine (R-BAC) to high risk patients with mantle cell lymphoma improves the results of the standard R-BAC, in terms of Progression Free Survival.

Outcome
This trial demonstrates that risk-stratified treatment with the addition of fixed-duration venetoclax to RBAC improves outcomes in older patients with high-risk MCL.

A phase III multicenter, randomized study comparing consolidation with (90)Yttrium-Labeled Ibritumomab Tiuxetan (Zevalin®) Radioimmunotherapy vs Autologous Stem Cell Transplantation (ASCT) in patients with relapsed/refractory follicular lymphoma (FL) aged 18-65 years

Outcome
Even if prematurely interrupted, the study demonstrated no meaningful difference in efficacy between ASCT and RIT, but ASCT was more toxic and more demanding for pts and health service. Both strategies induced a similar and favorable long-term outcome suggesting that consolidation programs milder than ASCT require further investigation in R/R FL.

Comparison of 2 years of rituximab maintenance (RM) with a response-adapted postinduction approach in patients with follicular lymphoma who responded to induction immunochemotherapy.

Outcome
After a median follow-up of 53 months (range, 1-92 months), patients in the standard arm had a significantly better PFS than those in the experimental arm (3-year PFS 86% v 72%; P < .001). The better PFS of the standard versus experimental arm was confirmed in all the study subgroups except non-CMR patients
